TIFF '06 - Day Seven
Heavy rain in the middle of the afternoon made a poor prospect for the Toronto International Film Festival this evening. The weather cleared up before the line-ups formed outside Roy Thomson Hall, but the other venues must have had a miserable afternoon... The films today were Breaking and Entering and Black Book. We had good turn-outs for both. Both were over two hours long so admission to Black Book was complicated by the patrons exiting from Breaking and Entering. A reasonable Red Carpet this evening, with only a little craziness for Jude Law, Juliette Binoche, Robin Wright Penn, Anthony Minghella and Sydney Pollack. Juliette Binoche ended up using my hand as a writing surface as she signed autographs! Director Paul Verhoeven was there with Carice van Houten (she looked good whoever she is) for Black Book.

Breaking and Entering had a good response from the audience, I left before Black Book was over. The audience liked Mon Meilleur Ami last night, which I will have to wait to see in general release.
