A Man and his Grill
We've had a good snowfall today. Nothing like the storm that hit the American Midwest, but enough to bring out the snowplows and salt trucks. I walk to work every day because I live close and I enjoy the journey. Another thing I do year-round is cook on my barbecue. It's just a tidier way to grill steaks and burgers. In warmer weather we'll also enjoy our meals out on the deck. Tonight I cooked my "famous home-style" burgers out in the cold and blowing snow. My secret ingredients include a pound of lean ground beef, an egg, a couple of tablespoons of bread crumbs, a pinch of salt and pepper, and a healthy dollop of barbecue sauce. If my son isn't with me I'll also include some finely chopped onion. My son caught me in the act tonight (when he should have been finishing his spelling assignment)...

It's unfortunate that you can't make a mean Vegetarian burger...
ReplyDeleteWell done to you for including your son in donating for those in need. That is extremely special. You are a fabulous father!
Still no snow in London. *sigh*
Hey you look cute in that pic!
ReplyDeleteI always have to sneak onions when I cook, too. I successfully added them to the enchiladas last night and M didn't even find them! WOOO HOOOO
It is getting close to you "Christmas in Cali." Are you getting excited about your trip?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, love the picture!
