Canadian Grand Prix

This afternoon's Canadian Grand Prix is just over and what a fun race it was! There was lots of wild driving at the beginning (thanks Juan Pablo Montoya) and as the heat took its toll on the tires the marbles of worn off rubber made the turns tricky. All the top drivers had to recover from spins. At the end of the race Kimi Raikkonen, who was running second to Fernando Alonso, went wide and Michael Schumacher was able to take advantage and move up. A few laps before 'local hero' Jacques Villeneuve, who had been having a solid race and was up to seventh, also ran onto the marbles and crashed his BMW-Sauber hard into the wall (pictured here). Poor Kimi also had trouble in both his pitstops. At the first stop they couldn't change his right rear wheel, at the second stop his engine stalled.
