"Helpful" tips on buying an MP3 player

Microsoft has published a helpful guide to buying a "Flash memory-based" music player... If you're too lazy to click, here's the executive summary:

  1. Make sure it comes in lots of colours and has lots of bits and pieces.
  2. Especially a tiny screen and an FM radio or a voice recorder. Stopwatches are cool too.
  3. Oh, and you won't ever want to use Apple's iTunes Store.
  4. Anything except an iPod shuffle. We hates it, we does.
Thanks for clearing that up Microsoft.

Actually, my iPod shuffle rocks. It's just like Mac vs. Windows: It's not what you put in, it's what you leave out. We just gave six out at a company seminar, and I've heard of orders in the hundreds as giveaways.

  2. I am seeing someone new. A woman my age who moved here from Australia four years ago. We've been going out for a month so it's hard to know what the long-term potential is, but it's been interesting so far... She's got a lot of fashion and film connections, and is re-starting her modeling career (I even got dragged into a modeling session for her "book".) Unfortunately she's back in Australia all this month.
