Shake it like a security blanket?

Outkast's song Hey Ya! and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Who knew they went together so well? A "mash-up" is created by seamlessly mixing together two or more songs in an interesting way... A couple of guys who call themselves Venis Productions have applied the concept to Hey Ya!, using scenes from A Charlie Brown Christmas to make a new video. You'd think they were made for each other.

I've always enjoyed the song, but I just can't stop watching this video... Click on the picture above to go to Google Video to see an AVI file of it.

Listening to: Skin Deep by The Stranglers from Aural Sculpture.

  1. It's a great video. I love the moment with Charlie Brown standing beside the empty mailbox best, but the back-and-forth between Linus and Charlie is also great. I showed it to a colleague, who immediately bought the song online. His PC's iTunes tells him that he's already played it over a hundred times in less than a week! He may get sick of it...

  2. Wow, would you believe I never scrolled far enough over in the iTunes window to notice the "Play Count" column until I read this comment? What a cool feature. I've played "Sand In My Shoes" by Dido 85 times!
